Remember when the networks reported the news (all of
it) instead of creating it or driving their desired narrative? Yeah. Me
neither! After watching the National media shamelessly blather on for
days over what they claim was Romney's ill-fated, doomed entry into
foreign policy by denouncing a ridiculous apology from our US embassy
(State department), mind you the same apology the administration also
denounced, only to then watch them breathlessly cover a fund raising
speech (not our US embassies being attacked) where he essentially told
the truth however inelegantly (that 47% of Americans pay not income
tax), I have to ask where is the news media's similar scrutiny of the
actual President's policies and actions, not the mere candidates?
"On a highly symbolic date, mobs storm American diplomatic
facilities and drag the corpse of the U.S. ambassador through the
streets. ... then the President flies to Vegas for a fundraiser" -Mark
Steyn. Let's just imagine for a minute the media reaction if it was
Bush? The media silence and lack of scrutiny is deafening! Whatever
happened to the Who, What, When, Where of actual reporting? Things like
the US may have had 48 hours notice of this attack; Never mind the
Embassy nor the Ambassador were properly protected. (Why?, Even though
there appeared to be some advance warning and it was 9/11); Never mind
reporting the President has only attended his security intel meetings
43% of the time; Never mind the President says he doesn't know if he
considers Egypt an ally (WTH: ok, Let's imagine Palin said that (DEFCON
4!) - then why are we giving them 3 Billion in aid?; Never mind
reporting the horrible optics of the President flying off the Vegas to
campaign with Jay-Z and Beyonce after burying our US Ambassador and for a
Radio show with Pimp the Limp - no less. Then after rejecting a
meeting with our strongest ally in the Middle East (Netanyahu) he
schedules a meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood and to make a return
appearance on Letterman. Seriously? None of that is worthy of serious
CRITICAL news scrutiny or coverage, right?. Just Romney's initial
(correct) statement gets covered for days by every News Anchor as if it
is Apocalyptic for the sheer audacity of denouncing the very same
thing it took the President 16 hours to denounce!. Hypocrisy on parade!
But what I find the most offensive is this implausible constant meme
from this administration and all the major National networks that all of
the violence in the middle east is due to some crude offensive 14 min
You tube video trailer. Preposterous!
It flies in the face of the facts. Sure, all spontaneous demonstrators
bring Rocket-Propelled Grenades, right? I know I saw them at all the
Tea Parties over the last few years. #FAIL. But they doubled down on
this blame the video narrative - I guess they couldn't find a way to
Blame Bush. First the President, then Secretary of State, then laughably
over the weekend the US UN Ambassador Rice all citing the video as the
cause of all the violence targeted at OUR embassies. I find it offensive
that Secretary of State Clinton seemingly used the strongest language
to denounce NOT the attackers that killed and tortured our US
Ambassador, but for this ridiculous you tube video. "Disgusting and
reprehensible. "Truly abhorrent." said
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton NOT referring to the riots and
murders of our diplomatic staff, but to the stupid, obscure film few
heard of until 9/11 and even less have seen. Gee, ya think it might be
weak US policy or maybe anti-US sentiment after all the
chest pounding and bragging about killing Bin Laden just the week
before at the DNC convention as it was mentioned no less than 20 times.?
Or Maybe, just maybe VP Biden screaming "Bin Laden is DEAD and GM is
ALIVE" was a factor? Or a clue might be that they are chanting "Obama,
Obama we are all Osamas" while attacking our embassies? Nah, according
to the Obama-media it's all about the obscure video, until yesterday
when they finally admitted - well yeah it might be a terrorist attack.
Duh!. Wonder if we can call it the "War on Terror" again or if it too
will ridiculously be called "Workplace Violence" as in the Ft. Hood
shootings? After seeing the picture of the maker (private citizen) of
the so-called offensive video being dragged off by 5 policeman from his
home at midnight for questioning, I venture to say that had our US
Embassy Ambassador received this much protection as this private citizen
being dragged in for using his First Amendment rights our Ambassador
to Libya might still be alive. Now that the media has plastered this
private citizen's (who broke no laws related to this video trailer)
picture all over the place, I am sure he is totally safe! What country
do we live in again? I am truly shocked at the appeasement, and
apologies from our government over this obscure video and the lack of
standing up for what is one of the first tenants of this Country - FREE
SPEECH!
Reinforcing this countries strong belief in free speech, the
Obama administration asked Google (YouTube) to take down the You tube
trailer because those attacking our embassies around the world were
demanding it. WOW! Does the absurdity and symbolism (and damage) of
that escape everyone in News Media? Ever heard of the First Amendment - I
think we still have that in this Country? Then there is the Libyan
President contradicting everyone at the US State Department “The idea
that this criminal and cowardly act was a spontaneous protest that just
spun out of control is completely unfounded and preposterous,” said
Libyan President Mohammed el-Megari. So, ok, Mr. Libyan President we
give you (and Egypt) Billions in aid why aren't you also performing your
responsibilities in protecting our US embassies. Yeah, Romney was
clearly wrong. There is no mixed message there.
IMO: Romney must have gotten something right (which is why
he was attacked by the media). I noted the President did not respond
until one hour after Romney and 15 hours after the actual US embassy
(State Department) apology. The US Embassy statement apologizing for
"hurting the religious feelings" stood as the only official US Policy
statement for 15 hours until the administration responded denouncing the
same US Embassy statement but also with a seemingly stronger
condemnation of Romney's response than to the attackers? I find the
President's actions campaigning, partying on the days while our US
embassies are being bombed, US flags torched and Americans are dying as
inappropriate and the media is criminal in not giving the President's
actions even remotely the same level of scrutiny as Romney's initial
response (and not even on the same stratosphere as they would have had
the current President been named Bush.) #MEDIABIASISCRIMINAL
It is becoming increasingly clear (actually it always was to me) that
Governor Romney has to not only beat President Obama, but also the near
entire American National News Media. As the media distracts with it's
deep dive into a fundraising speech of Romney's - what haven't they been
covering? The US middle east foreign policy is imploding, the Libyan
President's statement over what happened in the attack on our US
Embassy killing our ambassador conflicts with our State Dept. (It's all
about a You tube video nonsense), and It is being reported in other
countries that the US knew days before the attacks. So, why didn't they
covering this to the same depth - one reason - because it reflects badly
on their chosen candidate. While our embassies burned, only the bias
American News Media could make the coverage 24/7 about Romney's
illegally taped speech which is all really nothing more than a
deliberate distraction from the failed policies of this administration.
So, 27 United States Embassies are "Spontaneously" attacked and our
President goes on Letterman to talk about beer brewing and claims to
not know what the National Debt is currently and then goes on to party
with Beyonce. Just great! - and the US National Media is silent.
{Crickets} No, No Bias! The National news media rather than report
anything remotely based on demanding accountability or even coming close
to resembling a free and balanced press, has become nothing more than
this administration's propaganda arm and protector. The US News media
bias is irrefutable, truly sickening, and scary.
{This is my opinion and it is my right to express it - at least for now it still is ...
